THE SOL STORY

Brewed in Mexico, Sol is an easy-to-drink beer with a smooth and refreshing flavour. It all started on a sunny Mexican morning in 1899…On a clear sunny morning just outside Mexico City in 1899, in a little brewery called “El Salto de Agua” (“The Water Fall”), the sun’s rays creep over a brewing pot, inspiring the German brew master, to name his new beer “El Sol” – Spanish for “The Sun”. At that moment, “El Sol” was launched as a beer for the working class – offering them a beer much more refreshing beer than the predominant heavy European-style beers of the time.

SOL IN AUSTRALIA

Since its inception on our fair shores Sol has been the beer of choice for those who live life to the fullest. The Mexican Fiesta spirit is one that sits pretty easily with us Australians. Really, what’s not to like? Fact is Sol and the Australian sun were made for each other, and Sol has become as much a part of the Aussie summer experience as a pair of double pluggers wearing a Jackie Howe singlet and an Akubra hat. If you get our drift. You can find Sol wherever people are enjoying great music, good company and rollicking times. You might even say – where there’s a party, there’s Sol. We do. Check out your local Dan Murphy’s, BWS and Woolworths Liquor stores, or ALH venue, for all your summer Sol supplies. Enjoy!
